About twenty-five (25) children had given the chance to be part of the organization’s rendering community service as the GRIEDISH Committee on Grievance and Decorum & Investigation of Sexual Harassment visited the orphanage in consideration to the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) which was practiced by the company through the committee functions annually.
The Orphanage Visitation with the theme: “Love Thy Children” which was initiated and implemented by the GRIEDISH Team on September 22, 2019(Sunday afternoon) had been successful with the help and support of the management to render assistance to our chosen charitable institution, the Life Home Mindanao, Inc. It was the goal of the committee that the need to foster love and care to every child of the said orphanage even in just a short span of time will promote hope, joy, and happiness. Life Home Mindanao, Inc., is a residential-based orphanage in which according to Ms. Josephine De Vela, the Executive Director, it is a non-stock, non-profit and charitable organization in General Santos City for the purpose of helping the orphans, abandoned, neglected, at-risk children, less privileged and tribal poor children in Mindanao. Located in Guinto Street Extension, Purok Kaunlaran, Across Mabuhay Road, Millennium, San Isidro, General Santos City, it is a residential-based ministry that caters the children ages 2-16 years old providing shelter, food, clothing, medical care, education and love.
The GRIEDISH Committee with more than 25 Officers and Members joined and participated in the activity were happy to serve the children of Life Home Mindanao, Inc. Orphanage, who are constantly seeking assistance, understanding, love and support through giving donations of goods, clothes, toys, books, school supplies, etc. for the children’s continuous hope in their daily living.
In our committee’s program, we cannot successfully accomplish this objective without the support of those who are really helping the needs of children for love and attention especially the management of our organization and the Life Home Mindanao, Inc. The support and cooperation of everyone could truly make our activity special – not just for our employees but for our community as a whole. Likewise, this will supplement the various theories acquired from the people’s points of view and perceptions that abandoned and neglected children truly need simultaneous care and consistent understanding.
