CODISH ORPHANAGE VISIT: GIVING HOPE FOR THE CHILDREN

As part of the Committee on Decorum and Investigation of Sexual Harassment (CoDISH) community extension program, an orphanage visit was conducted at St. Agnes of Montepulciano Children’s Home, Inc located at Brgy. Baluan, General Santos City on 24 March 2019, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 NN.

St. Agnes of Montepulciano Children’s Home, Inc. is an international aid organization that caters underprivileged children. At present, they have twenty six (26) orphaned kids. Twenty five (25) committee members and volunteers were warmly welcomed by Sister Juliet M. Preagido, the Directress of the orphanage.  In her speech, she thanked the company as well as the committee for allotting time and effort to visit them and for the goods that the committee brought for the children.

The committee brought some groceries, clothes and toys and other goods. Said goods were donations from employees of TEMPHIL group. Aside from the goods, the committee also brought joy and happiness to the children by having parlor games and story-telling given

by Mr. Edgardo Villanueva Jr. In the story, children were taught to study hard and dream big so that they will reach what they want in the future.

Ms. Lanie T. Buenafe, CoDISH chairperson concluded the activity by thanking the orphanage for giving them the opportunity to help and give hope for the children.
