
Tuna Tail slices marinated with salt and pepper and coated with seasoned flour, then deep fried until golden brown. The mango sauce gives it a zesty flavor that will make you crave for more.
Ingredients:
- 1 pc. Citra Mina Tuna Tail Halves
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- Cooking oil for deep frying
Sauce:
- 1 pc. Ripe mango
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 T curry powder
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Procedure:
- Make sauce by combining all ingredients in a blender or food processor. Set aside. Chill.
- Heat cooking oil in a deep pan.
- Rub the Citra Mina Tuna Tail Halves with salt and pepper in all sides.
- When oil is hot and ready for deep-frying, coat the seasoned tuna with cornstarch. Lightly pat the tuna to remove the excess cornstarch.
- Immediately after the tuna has been coated, carefully put it in the hot oil and allow to cook. Do not try to move the tuna around. Allow one side to cook for 2-3 minutes until crispy and golden.
- Carefully turn the tuna to the other side to make sure that it is cooked through and even in color.
- Remove from heat; drain in paper towel.
- Serve immediately with chilled mango curry.
